Yar’Adua’s homecoming:like thief in the night

After three-month sojourn in far away Saudi Arabia,

searching for the ultimate cure for his ailment ,President

Umaru Musa Yar’Adua stole back into the country unannounced

on the wee hours of Wednesday, February 24 without

fanfare. And before, we could shout eureka, the man

was evacuated into his abode in Aso Villa,Abuja.

"The sick

 man was deliberately

smuggled home to serve as pawn in a power play"

Go and ...sick no more?

Not exactly! That was far from being the admonition

of his host, King Abdullah, the paramount ruler of

Saudi Kingdom, as his guest was bundled out of his

empire in coma, the same state in which he was

hurtled in. It was even rumoured that he sent the

ailing man packing out of frustration since his condition

failed to improve after 93 days of intensive care.

And rather than improving, it has continued to deteriorate

by the day. He told his family that he won’t allow

the fragile Yar’Adua to die in his abode. So out

he sent him back home, as sick as he was on

November 23,2009 when he came in.

Portrait

Reports said he was flown into the country in an

air ambulance on life supporting machine; he can neither

talk nor eat and is presently weighing less than

a bag of rice at 40 kg.

Smuggled home

It was suspected that the sick man was deliberately

smuggled home to serve as pawn in a power play

by the so-called cabal, led by the first lady,

Hajia Turai Yar’Adua. This devilish people are said to

be bent on holding to power at all cost

under the banner of Yar’Adua. A clear attempt

to sabotage the role of the acting president, Goodluck Jonathan,

and hold the progress of the country down perpetually.

Way out!

The National Assembly should rise to the occasion by

declaring him incapacitated and unfit to rule the country.

After all, that was the mandate of its fact-finding delegation

to Saudi Arabia that was refused access to the president.

The cabal should realize that the presidency is bigger than

any individual, it is bigger than any family or any section

of the country . They should be warned that it is

not hereditary. The nation must move forward.
